We Can Improvise! The Freedom and Fun of Making Up Music

The workshop will begin with a brief introduction and discussion about how people from cultures in all continents use music in their lives. Trevor will play the Australian didgeridoo, Indian snake charmer, South American rainstick, African thumb-piano, European viola and the American Chapman Stick. Trevor will also incorporate a synthesizer triggered by the strings of the Chapman Stick as he creates a song together with the students. Note: This workshop is recommended for a music classroom where the students have access to instruments.
