Illustration and Book Basics (3rd-12th grade)Students will reinforce math and visual skills as they learn to enlarge or reduce their illustrations to scale. Under the direction of the artist, students will organize subject matter, create a table of contents, design the cover and pages, and will mechanically assemble the book. All book copy should be written and printed out prior to the residency. Teachers encouraged to enlist additional adult help.

Science was used as we learned color placement on color wheel. We talked about the physical elements of our environment while painting a landscape picture. Suzie patiently worked with kindergarten students and gave them a very successful artistic experience.
