From the Streets to the Skies: The Rise of Urban ArtDeveloped for Arts Partners academic program year 2016-2017, "From the Streets to the Skies: The Rise of Urban Art" will bring to life the origins and rise of urban art from the 1980s to modern times. Students will experience firsthand what it takes to conceptualize, design, and create their very own skateboard, while learning typography, art history, and the elements and principles of design. Students will experience the importance of individual expression and teamwork, and learn about the wide variety of career paths their creativity can take them.
