KS
Wolftrap / Artist Coordinator - Aaron Fowler
As one of our founding teaching
artists, Aaron Fowler has served as a teaching specialist
for the past 13 years, with training as a Kansas
Wolf Trap teaching artist. Aaron Fowler draws from
11 years in public school teaching and his life among
inner-city youth as he brings entertainment and audience
participation to assemblies, class presentations
and workshops. His engaging style of folk music,
storytelling and discussion, combined with his first-hand
street experience, speaks to their life struggles.
Aaron has a MME from Wichita State University. He
taught choral music in the Wichita public school
system from 1984-1995. Aaron held memberships in
MENC (Music Education National Conference) and ACDA
(American Choral Directors Association). Aaron left
classroom teaching to tour full time as a singer/songwriter
and educator in 1995. |
